At Sugarbakers, using fresh, quality ingredients is a very important professional premise. We believe that amazingly delicious desserts and succulent food should only be made from the best ingredients and always results in better tasting foods and treats.
It is a fact that many of the foods available to us today are "overly processed" (a term that hopefully distinguishes that not all processing is bad, per se). In its typical usage today, though, "processed food" can carry negative connotations, and for good reason. Much of the processing adds chemicals, removes good minerals and vitamins, and can severely degrade the food's value. The public has become much more educated about overly processed foods. We also know more about how "processing" often has an unwavering reliance on too many additives.
It is a simple principle, really, to prepare food and desserts with wholesome ingredients, and to have a plethora of wonderful tastes that don't come from chemicals. We believe our use of quality ingredients is evident in every bite, and it's a good feeling to know that what we create and serve is made from the best ingredients we can find. We also know that sometimes, more simple recipes can make the most scrumptious creations.
